Valentine's Date Night Out

When I think of Valentine's Day, so many things come to mind...

Hearts. Pink. Love. Roses. What to wear?

Now, I know everyone celebrates this holiday a little differently.  Some of you ladies head out on fancy dates, some like to cuddle up at home with someone special, and well many of us head out for girl's night.  No matter how you choose to celebrate, we are ALL wondering what outfit to wear.  Today, we are gonna talk about what to wear out, whether on a date with your beau or with the ladies.  I love dresses, they are easy, comfortable, and generally very flattering.  Plus, a dress with a little sparkle always adds a little pep to your step.  I styled one of our Southern Swank dresses up to show you guys, how to really make it special.

A Round of Applause

We would like to give a very special thank you to Allie Beads & Peek-a-Bootique for coming and being a part of our New Year, New You Event last Thursday!!  Also, we were so excited and proud of the turn out we had... Our customers are AWESOME!!!  We had out some great new arrivals and fancy things for spring.  (I actually got most of them up online yesterday... and we still have new things coming in.)  Everything went perfectly... minus the pink lemonade catastrophe... so we just wanted to say a GREAT BIG thank you to everyone that supported us and share a few pictures.

Add Some Sass to Your Chambray

So, one of my New Year's resolutions was to pay more attention to this blog, to show more of the fashion we have in store, and to help style it all together.  We are stepping up our game with great new styles & photography, but keeping the same great Swank!  Make sure that you are keeping up with us, because we are going to have exclusive photo shoots, promotions, and events, that you will find through here!  I can't wait for You All to see what we have coming next...


Chambray is a trend that seems to be permanently placing itself in the Fashion Hall of Fame, beside Leopard Prints & Statement Necklaces.  We, here at Southern Swank, could not he happier... Especially since it is such an easy piece to style in SO many ways!  The Chambray shirt is a staple in any wardrobe.  Whether you are the lady at dinner with the girls, the mom on the go, or even the college student rushing to class. 

When going to dinner with the girls, my Chambray shirt has become my go to.  Of course, I glam it up a bit with sequin shorts & a blazer.
